Shipping policy

 SHIPPING POLICY

  • All stock is located at and shipped from Brisbane, Australia.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery location is safe and secure. If not, it is recommended to leave a note at checkout asking for a signature on delivery or other details that may help Australia Post safely and securely deliver your parcel.
  • We aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 business days of receiving confirmation of our customer’s orders and will notify our customers of any delays on our end. Any items that are on pre-order will be noted in the description of products.
  • Jellycat items can take up to 2 weeks to be dispatched from ordered due to being a high demand product.
  • Stated transit time is calculated from the time of parcel pickup by our courier partner.
  • You will receive a confirmation email and a tracking reference number where possible so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
  • If a parcel cannot be delivered due to the customer's error, or external factors, or is not collected within the collection timeframe and therefore returned to the sender (RTS). Shinzo Japanese Gifts will contact the customer with options for re-shipment.
  • Due to the bulky nature of some items, an additional shipping fee may be charged. This incurred fee will be clearly stated in the product description and will appear on your receipt and checkout page as "shipping" cost.

  • Our store's inventory is managed through an inventory management system which includes our physical shops. Due to a flood of orders and concentrated access, the inventory number may not be updated in time, resulting in discrepancies with the actual inventory. In some cases, we may not be able to prepare the product, so in that case, we will contact you by email. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Large & Bulk Orders

We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders; however, please note the following exceptions:

  • Oversized, bulky, or heavy items may incur additional shipping fees, even if your order qualifies for free shipping.

  • Orders containing large quantities or high-volume items may require a custom shipping quote.

  • If your order falls into this category, we will contact you prior to fulfillment to discuss shipping options and any applicable surcharges.

  • We reserve the right to revise or cancel orders that exceed standard shipping limits or result in operational loss due to stacking discounts, promotions, or payment processing fees (e.g., Afterpay).

We’re a small business and appreciate your understanding as we work to provide fair and sustainable service for all customers.

Express shipping

  • Most orders within Australia may be eligible for Express Shipping.
  • Prices and eligibility will be determined by; shipping location and weight measurement of the entire order.
  • Parcel's ETA is within the stated time frame after courier pickup.
  • Arrival time is subject to external factors such as, external delays, stock availability and other factors out of Shinzo Japanese’s control.

Delayed delivery or missing items

  • If your parcel has been delayed past the expected delivery date or;
  • an item is missing from your parcel and is clearly displayed on your receipt.

  • Please note: Shinzo Japanese Gifts will try our best to help you and recover products or send replacements, however, please allow time for us and our shipping partners to investigate, as these issues are mostly external and out of our control.

NOTE: Our shipping partners are currently facing unprecedented delays to all international destinations.
